Our Programme Governance Diagnostic provides assurance that a programme is set-up to maximise the quality and success rate of the end result.

One of the tools that we use is a structured walkthrough with key stakeholders and seek answers to questions including:-

• Is the roadmap to the future state agreed and fully understood throughout the organisation?
• What does success look like?
• How are requirements traced through to design and implementation?
• Are the portfolio management integrated with a well understood transformation framework? What is the process for negotiating trade-offs between competing projects in the portfolio?
• Do you understand which components of the transformation are being undertaken by third parties and which are managed in-house?
• Are there sufficient controls and oversight of third parties including Systems Integrators?
• Is the technical architecture appropriate and future proof?
• How will the business be made ready for the change?

Analysis of the structured walkthrough will pin-point specific areas that require further deep-dive analysis and these may include technical environments, tools and Governance Framework (including terms of reference for meetings).

Our initial analysis is discussed with key stakeholders prior to a final report which sets out our findings and recommendations.
